Announcement of 6th BEAM Pro Training |
|

Five pilot sessions of BEAM Pro Training have been successfully held with almost 400 candidates from about 80 organizations trained since April 2010. The 6th training opportunity to be held on 7 September 2010 (Tuesday) is now open for registration, and two more training sessions (in October and November) will be organised in 2010. Non-members of HKGBC are now eligible for application. |

Announcement of 5th BEAM Professionals Training |

The fifth training opportunity to be held on 27 July 2010 is now open for members of HKGBC and BEAM Society. The training programme includes BEAM New and Existing Buildings standards (BEAM Plus) together with the credit points associated with six components. We anticipate admitting about 70 candidates for this round of application on a first-come-first served basis. The tentative application deadline is 20 July 2010. |

BEAM Plus Announcement - BEAM Professionals Training and Examination |

The new version of BEAM Plus (2009 version), recognized by the Hong Kong Green Building Council (HKGC), helps owners to make use of one assessment methodology with all good practices in planning, design, construction, management, operation and maintenance of buildings, and is aligned with relevant local and international standards to demonstrate the overall qualities of a building, be it a new or refurbished building, or one that is in use. In order to open the BEAM assessor network, training for BEAM Professionals has been considered which is now opened for application. |

The HKIE Civil Division Conference 2010 |

Organized by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers Civil Division, and supported by BEAM Society. The conference will bring together leading experts from a wide range of disciplines to discuss infrastructure solutions and challenges in particular as related to climate change impacts, adaptation and mitigation in the 21st century. The conference will provide a regional platform to explore practical technological solutions in the design, construction and operation of infrastructure. Key areas of the dialogue include technology solutions and new assessment strategies, industry sustained growth and identification of public and professional risk. |

Building Energy Codes Workshop |
